CLEVER PROJECT - review after premiere

"Es könnte dein letzter Tag sein"

Radek Hewelt und Filip Szatarski tanzen ein "Clever Project" im Wiener WUK 

Wien - Die Kunst ist eine Krisengewinnlerin - vorausgesetzt, sie ist clever. Also nicht die Kunst selbst, sondern vor allem allerlei Händler, Agenten und Spekulanten. Die beiden Performer Radek Hewelt und Filip Szatarski wollen als Clever Team auch möglichst schlau sein. Deswegen ist ihr "Clever Project", derzeit als Uraufführung im Wiener Wuk zu sehen, so ergreifend.

 Die beiden wissen natürlich, dass mit zeitgenössischem Tanz absolut kein Reibach zu machen ist. Trotzdem muss es doch möglich sein, wenigstens ein paar Wetten darauf abzuschließen. Dies soll hier getestet werden. Das Publikum weiß gleich um seinen ersten Bonus: Es sieht zehn Performances zum Preis von einer.


 Ein zweistimmiges Lied zu Beginn macht klar, was bei einer richtigen Spekulation wirklich zählt. "Genieße beim Aufstehen den Blick aus deinem Fenster, denn das könnte dein letzter Tag sein." Richtig, auf die Stimmung kommt es an! Der Konjunktiv der Todesnähe erzeugt Konjunkturen für alles, was man sich noch gönnen möchte.

Zum Baum werden beispielsweise. Auch im Theater, wenn es unbedingt sein muss. Träume haben Konjuntur, wenn es an das Letzte geht. Oder die Meditation, falls man doch etwas verspannt zu werden droht. Also wird im "Clever Project" floskelreich eine Publikumsmeditation eingeleitet, die alsbald im Nirwana einer Opernpersiflage aufgeht.

An dieser Stelle wird das Stück zu einer Perle der Ironie. Die sich noch vergrößert, sobald Hewelt zur Ukulele greift und erst zart, dann immer rockiger den immer gleichen Satz singt: "When I was young, smoking, fucking, drinking all the night, my mind was drugged." Auf die Sentimentalitätswerte des Rock 'n' Roll kann man bis heute ebenso gut wetten wie auf jene der Hochkultur.

Warum? Gut, dass die beiden als Antwort ihre Biografien erzählen. Erstens, weil das immer zieht und zweitens, weil wir dadurch unsere eigenen, endlichen Leben besser verstehen. Radek und Filip zogen gemeinsam aus, um den Gral zu finden, die Welt zu erobern. Sie litten Hunger und Zurückweisung, erfanden eine Heilmethode - und den ersten Projektor. Also hielten sie sich für den Nabel der Welt. Bis dunkle Wolken aufzogen und ein "Stagnator"-Monster über sie hereinbrach.

Wie das Clever Team diese Krise gemeistert hat, wird nicht verraten. Wohl aber etwas Offensichtliches: Dass hier eine so exzellente wie treffende Satire auf Krisen und emotionale Spekulation in unserem Kulturleben entstanden ist.

They will also come up with an additional scene in Valentine's day promotion, Eastern action or summer holiday's offer, depending on the year's season and show's location... Clever Team is completely independent and autonomous on the level of performance's realization. Clever Team functions like the low-cost quality airline - disposing low budget they provide high quality product. Clever Team proves that the crisis is an inspiring and positive phenomenon.  Radek Hewelt and Filip Szatarski will take the audience for an adventure proposing a contemporary dance show, opera, group therapy and many other attractions...

CLEVER TEAM release of "Merry Christmas" took place before last Christmas.
Those, who haven't had a chance to watch it, can still do it! Those who watched and would like to see it again, have also second chance!
