CLEVER TEAM released the teaser of their new production-in-progress

CLEVER TEAM (Radek Hewelt and Filip Szatarski) began to work on their new project called "Instant Opera. Adult Crying Inventory". The video teaser marks the beginning of a researching phase. The project is to be accomplished with a live performance in Fall 2014.

New mission of CLEVER TEAM

In their new project: “Instant Opera. Adult Crying Inventory” CLEVER TEAM will concentrate on the painful consequences of economic crisis. Considering themselves the very sensitive and attentive members of society, Radek and Filip will propose the audience a performance with the unique therapeutic properties. It will be addressed to all those who have been affected by the economic crash. This time all the members of the audience will have a chance to start the process of healing the emotional wounds caused by the burden of the crisis.
Probably each of us has been struggling lately with debts, financial insecurity or overwork. It might lead to the overload of emotional structure and put our mental health out of balance.
CLEVER TEAM would like to propose a clever solution for all these problems of mental nature.
The offer includes emotional cleansing and purification through the almost forgotten experience of CATHARSIS. The aim is to let the audience experience the remedial properties of music. CLEVER TEAM is going to propose the multi sensual journey through the most capacious form of performing arts – the OPERA.

"DeSacre!" by Christine Gaigg/2nd Nature at Muffathalle in Munich

On 6th October "DeSacre!" by Christine Gaigg was presented at Muffathalle in Munich within the frame of interdisciplinary symposium: "Sacre. A victim in artistic and social context"

As I wrote in the previous post, "The rite of spring" became my leading trademark as a dancer. This time few words about "DeSacre!" by Christine Gaigg...

DeSacre!

The complexity of an art action is high, but also or precisely when the action only lasts for 40 seconds. If the complexity exceeds the possibilities of a society a sore point has probably been hit.
In DeSacre! The choreographer Christine Gaigg interweaves the latest Pussy Riot art scandal of 21 Februaryy 2012 with scenes from Le Sacre du Printemps, which was premièred in 1913 by Igor Stravinsky and Vaclav Nijinsky in Paris. The clash of the two art works points out their motives as well as their social implications.
In the architecture of the St Joseph’s Chapel, which was built in 1772 over several storeys of the Vienna Hofburg and the present-day presidential chancellery, the aspects thrown up also address questions to our society: What is desecration? To what excent does the Pussy Riot action go beyond pure provocation? Is everything answered with the argument of the sacrosanct?

"Le Sacre" by Dada von Bzdülöw at Beijing Fringe Festival

"Le Sacre" was presented on 27 and 28 September in Beijing at theatre Fringe Festival.

In the last period "The Rite of Spring" seems to be my main signature as a performer. First there was Teatr Dada von Bzdülöw with "Le Sacre"...

The intriguing spectacle by Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre was played in Beijing, closing this year’s theatre Fringe Festival. Has the lost, original version of “The Rite of Spring” by Stravinski after a hundred years been finally brought into the daylight?

According to the libretto created by Leszek Bzdyl that’s exactly what happened. The play script tells about a great discovery made by the researcher and professor of the Massachusett Bard Collage, Jeff Perec, who, while cataloguing documents donated post mortem to the Collage by the descendants of Mikolaj Roerich, has found pieces of correspondence between Roerich and Stravinski, the creators of “The Rite of Spring” – the mythical ballet which, at the beginning of the 20^th century, turned upside down the concept of contemporary music-body movement performance. In their letters the librettist and the composer mentioned the original version of “The Rite of Spring”, it’s radical concepts and ways of expression, and about the significant philosophical and musical differences compared to the spectacle staged in 1913 in Paris.

The performance by Dada von Bzdülöw is a dialogue with the creators of “The Rite of Spring”, a dialogue about breaking the chains of conventionalities. Conventionalities, which once broken and shattered form a new quality, just to become a conventionality again. The music used in the play written by Mikolaj Trzaska, is also a dispute with, as Trzaska said „greatly written, but (…) pompous” musical work of “The Rite of Spring”.

Following the “Invisible Duets”, “Le Sacre” was the second play, performed by Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre in China, and just as the “...Duets” was very well received both by the audience and the critics. The project of Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre’s participation in the Fringe Festival was carried out thanks to cooperation of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Embassy of Poland in Beijing.

About The Old Testament According to The Loose Collective"

Absurd and comical dialogues alternate with whimsical group choreographies, snottily bawled accusations, enthusiastic dance sequences and the praising of the Promised Land with baroque choir parts. In its latest work the international collective lustfully approaches the Old Testament - with retro whigs from the Sixties, screaming electric guitars, choir and dance. The piece for five performers turns out to be an unconventional collage of parts of this world text, converted into dance, music and vocals. Adapted to the characteristics of various musical styles as electro pop, reggae and diaspora post punk, and with a good dose of irony and cynicism, the collective juggles with biblical quotes and carves out the actuality of the religious texts. The brutality and depravity of man, the futility of all aspirations as well as the utopia and the absurdness of life are presented as playful entertainment within a modern performance.
The Loose Collective is a mixture of musicians, dancers and choreographers, founded four years ago by Alex Deutinger, Alexander Gottfarb, Marta Navaridas and Anna Maria Nowak. Their work is marked by a great deal of individuality and freshness.

OESTERREICH TANZT BABY! at Fespielhaus in St.Pölten

TANZ BABY! meets CLEVER TEAM

This unique artistic encounter will take the audience on performative journey through glamour, illusion and heart-warming tune. CLEVER TEAM, known from their incorrectly optimistic approach to art in general, will meet the iconic band – TANZ BABY! Both formations believe with full compassion and naivety in eternal love. They will use all possible tools to proof that love still exists…  Even if it reaches the borders of absurd.

The concert/performance will take place on 16 and 17 May at Festspielhaus at St.Pölten.
Beside TANZ BABY! and CLEVER TEAM there will be also presented the works of Stephanie Cumming, Akos Hargitay and Helene Weinzierl.
